Easter treat for kids Rice Bubble Nest

RICE BUBBLE NESTS

INGREDIENTS
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 280g marshmallows
  • 6 cups of rice bubbles or puffed rice cereal
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Robins egg candies (or any small chocolate eggs)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Melt the butter over medium heat and stir in the marshmallows. Continue stirring until completely melted. Add in the vanilla and stir to combine.
  • Pour the mixture over the rice bubbles and stir until well combined.
  • Spray a mini sized muffin tin (or standard size muffin tin) with cooking oil and shape the nests with the rice bubble mixture.
  • TIP: Spray some oil onto a spoon to prevent the rice bubbles from sticking to it. Use the spoon to press against the rice rubble mixture and form a nest shape in the muffin tin. You could do this by hand but it would be quite messy!
  • Let the rice bubble cool in the pan slightly then decorate the nest with the Robin eggs.
