Rice Bubble Nest
Easter is coming soon, and I have just the treat for you and your little one! These Rice Bubble Nests are so easy to make, and with just a few ingredients, you and your kids will have something fun and delicious. Who else is eggs-cited for Easter?
RICE BUBBLE NESTS
INGREDIENTS- 3 tbsp butter
- 280g marshmallows
- 6 cups of rice bubbles or puffed rice cereal
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Robins egg candies (or any small chocolate eggs)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Melt the butter over medium heat and stir in the marshmallows. Continue stirring until completely melted. Add in the vanilla and stir to combine.
- Pour the mixture over the rice bubbles and stir until well combined.
-
Spray a mini sized muffin tin (or standard size muffin tin) with cooking oil and shape the nests with the rice bubble mixture.
-
TIP: Spray some oil onto a spoon to prevent the rice bubbles from sticking to it. Use the spoon to press against the rice rubble mixture and form a nest shape in the muffin tin. You could do this by hand but it would be quite messy!
-
Let the rice bubble cool in the pan slightly then decorate the nest with the Robin eggs.
